Re-post from AGU Hydrology student representative, Rolf Hut:
Dear student and early career member of the AGU with an interest in hydrology. As student representative on the hydrology board it is my pleasure to invite you to the first ever:
Hydrology student and early career reception
to be held on 10 December 2013, 6:30 PM – 8:00 PM at the San Francisco Marriott Marquis Salon 9.
At this informal reception we offer hydrology students and early career scientist the opportunity to mingle without the ever watching eye of supervisors and faculty. Get to know the reviewers of your articles, your future colleagues: your peers! Learn who is working on your subject, while they are working on it, not 2 years later when they publish about it. The reception is set up to be informal and will include networking opportunities. Price of attendance is $7, which includes a drink and is, considering costs of renting a room, heavily sponsored by the AGU hydrology board (thanks: Eric Wood!).
Tickets can be purchased during the Fall Meeting registration process. Please register early: tickets may be limited! and off course: please invite your hydrology student and early career scientists friends to join as as well.
Looking forward to seeing you at the fall meeting,
Rolf Hut.
