YHS-India

Aim

The aim of YHS-India is to establish a platform that unifies young hydrologists in India and promotes their active participation on larger platforms, thereby enhancing the representation of the Global South in the field of hydrology. In addition, YHS Indian shall promote collaboration among individual hydrologists and societies.

Potential Members

We welcome individuals from diverse backgrounds who identify as young hydrologists and are actively working in the field of hydrology in India (regardless of their nationality). Our network encompasses not only scientists but also students, researchers, and professionals from universities, research institutes, and consultancy firms.

What can YHS-India do for you?

YHS-India offers several benefits and opportunities to young hydrologists:

  1. Activities and Workshops: YHS-India organizes various activities, workshops, and networking opportunities specifically designed for young hydrologists. These events provide a platform for knowledge sharing, skill development, funding opportunities and collaboration within the hydrology community.
  2. Networking Opportunities: YHS-India facilitates connections among young hydrologists in India. By participating in YHS-India activities, you can meet fellow hydrologists, establish professional relationships, and build a strong network within the field.
  3. Collaboration at Conferences: YHS-India collaborates with the Young Hydrologic Society (YHS) during international conferences, providing opportunities to engage with young hydrologists from around the world. This collaboration expands your network and exposes you to diverse perspectives and experiences in hydrology.
  4. Support for Organizing Activities: If you have an idea for an activity or workshop related to hydrology, YHS-India can provide support and guidance in organizing and executing it. This enables you to take the lead in shaping events that cater to the specific needs and interests of young hydrologists.

Overall, YHS-India provides a supportive and dynamic community for young hydrologists in India, fostering personal and professional growth through activities, workshops, and networking opportunities.

We post our future activities here.
