Training courses
Natural Environment Research Council (NERC) funded PhD students may be interested in the Advanced Training Short Courses (ATSC) offered by NERC each year. Policy internships
Research Councils UK (RCUK) provide an opportunity for current RCUK funded (including NERC) PhD students to participate in fully funded three month internships at one of a selection of highly influential policy organisations. Host organisations include the Parliamentary Office of Science & Technology (POST), Government Office for Science, and The Royal Society among others. Undergraduate research experience placements
NERC offers research experience placements (REPs) over 8 to 10 weeks to encourage undergraduates in quantitative subjects (e.g. mathematics, statistics, and engineering) to consider careers in environmental science.
